Support and Training

New procedure for fault reporting

More staff with SU3/4 admin rights
  • SU4 level for ICT committee (Action: Headteacher)

Regular (yearly) maintenance of all computers
  • Defragment hard disks
  • Clear temp drives and profiles
  • Scan disk, thorough viruse check and malware check
  • Clean keyboards and screens
  • Clean smartboards and projector filters/airvents

CPD 2.0 by the people for the people
  • Short sessions provided by volunteers (staff or pupils) at appropriate times (lunchtime, after school, Friday CAT etc)
  • Documentation / resources then provided by the trainer on a wiki or in an electronic form accessible to all

Procedures for sharing equipment
  • Booking sheet for digital cameras and video cameras, similar to WOW room booking or using On The Button (Action: Kate Farrell)

Training for new software and initiatives
  • Externally provided training suggested by ICT committee after consultation with staff (Action: ICTcomm)
  • Externally provided training provided by SMT (Action: SMT)
  • Training for GLOW, On The Button etc (Action: SMT)

Regular software updates
  • Software like web browsers, Flash player etc to be regularly updated
  • Security patches and Service Packs to be installed as soon as they are issued
